"Aegis Knife Works began as an idea following a conversation between some devoted knife enthusiasts when returning from BLADE 2013. Having collected from several knife makers over the years, I wanted to take my enthusiasm and pour it into my own brand and style.  Having a desire to put into practice my favorite knife concepts, I decided to make it so.  A couple prototypes and a lot of critical analysis later, the first model, the "Hoplite" was born.
