San Mai is a three-layer blade — a hard cutting core laminated between outer layers — the same logic Japanese smiths have used for centuries; this F2K's is built on XHP. O'Hare surrounds it with copper snakeskin carbon fiber and Timascus throughout: bolsters, a Shockwave backspacer, and a milled clip, all heat-colored titanium. The F2K at its dressiest, handmade in Canada.
