Left-handed knives are a rarity in the custom world, and Tom Mayo's Dr. Death flipper built for lefties even more so. The blade is hand-rubbed CPM-154, a powder-metallurgy stainless steel prized by custom makers for its fine, uniform grain structure — it takes a hand-rubbed satin finish beautifully and holds a working edge without the brittleness of some higher-carbide steels. Mayo's bead-blasted titanium chassis, cut through with speed holes on the show scale, keeps the knife light without giving up the rigidity a flipper action needs.
