Box Elder Burl is the wildly figured wood that forms near a tree's knots and stumps; double-dyed and stabilized, that chaotic grain turns vivid and rock-hard, so no two handles come out alike. O'Hare dovetails 416 stainless bolsters into it, pins it with a mosaic center pin, and runs it full-tang around a hand-rubbed CPM-154 blade. A Starling fixed blade, handmade in Canada with a leather sheath.
