This Covert framelock runs Tom Mayo's 6K blade steel — more properly Stellite 6K, a cobalt-chromium alloy rather than a true steel. It resists corrosion well and holds an edge exceptionally well, but it's notoriously difficult to grind and finish. Five chatter holes on the lock scale break up the bead-blasted titanium chassis, keeping the knife light in the hand.
